Couple hour sail tonight after work.Nice 10-12 knt South wind.Recod high of 6 Celcious.Ice is still very hard with about 20% snow coverage.Rain tonight,could be interesting?

Another short day at M.

ission Marsh.Met a photographer who took some neat shots of me with the Sleeping Giant in the background.

Day was not without incident as I hit a working seam.Good thing was it was a low speed hit and only damage was a bent bobstay spent the rest of the morning on a very restricted sheet of ice,as the wave are blowing up the good ice.My recently sharpened runners worked well .Now back in ice searching mode.

Big winds at the mission today.Almost looking forward to some lighter winds.

Mission Marsh Iceboating

Another great day.Today at Mission Marsh,nice bay 5 min. from home.Nice 15 mph winds on hard fast ice.Really need to get my blades sharpe.

Amethyest Again

Another day at amythest,big winds and cool.Ice was cleared of snow but a lot of small very stiff drifts.Much better ice at Birch Beach right now.Might try mission Marsh tomorrow.Ice is very hard so runners need stoning nightly.

Western Challenge had 80 DN's from N.A. and Ger.,Czheck,Poland.Here are a few shots.

Ice Boating

Been off line for a while.have a new winter passion DN iceboating.I describe it as Cat Sailing on Steroids. Great start to the year.So far have sailed on Lottit Lake.Five days at Barnum, three days at the Western Challenge on Pelican and since the a week and counting out on fantastic ice at Amethyest Habour.Included are some pics of the sailing this year.
