Four Lakes Ice Club Post

Borrowed this cool shot from Lake Baikal Pearl's Facebook page: "A circle of thin ice (dark in colour, with a diameter of about 4.4 kilometres or 2.7 miles thought to be caused by convection); this is the focal point for ice break up in the very southern end of the lake.
Meanwhile, on North America's Thunder Bay in Lake Superior, DNer Mike Madge sent this photo of ice "located right down town in our harbour. There is better ice located further (20 miles) up the bay. That is where I was sailing last week. Weather has warmed up in last two days so have not ventured out"
